INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS
Submission of a manuscript to the journal implies that:
(a) the work has not been published previously;
(b) it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere;
(c) this manuscript has not been rejected by this journal;
(d) its publication has been approved by all co-authors;
(e) its publication has been approved (explicitly or implicitly) by all responsible authorities at the organizations where the work was carried out.

AUTHOR AGREEMENT FORMS
To facilitate interaction between authors and the publisher, please submit the agreements along with the manuscript to the journal's editorial office.
Agreements may be submitted as digital copies of the originals. The agreement forms must be completed using Microsoft Word or clearly filled in by hand and signed by all authors and copyright holders.
The Copyright Transfer Agreement is a contract of adhesion. It comes into effect if the manuscript is accepted for publication in English.
If for any reason your article is rejected by the journal's editorial board, the agreement becomes void.
The decision to accept a manuscript for publication is the exclusive right of the journal's editorial board.
By signing the agreements, the authors confirm that they have read and agree to their terms.
All questions regarding copyright transfer agreements may be directed to the editorial office via email.
SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIALS
To better describe your research, an article may be supplemented with various additional files (audio, video, presentations in various formats, tables, and illustrations), provided that the author retains the rights to these supplementary materials, which have not been granted to others, or the author has written permission to use these materials for publication in the journal.
Supplementary materials are published online on the publisher's website (Springer).
Requirements for supplementary materials:
(a) the article must be self-contained;
(b) supplementary materials are published at the discretion of the authors;
(c) the publishers will not make any changes to them;
(d) all files must be named sequentially: "ESM_1.mpg", "ESM_2.pdf", "ESM_3.xls", etc.;
(e) the article will contain a reference: "Supplementary materials to the article are available via the DOI for authorized users."
Supplementary materials are part of the article and must comply with all requirements imposed on the article by current legislation.

AUTHORS' ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Russian Journal of Bioorganic Chemistry (Bioorganicheskaya Khimiya) strives to maintain the high reputation of scientific research. As a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the journal will follow COPE's recommendations on how to deal with potential breaches of ethical standards.
Authors must refrain from misrepresenting research results, which could damage trust in the journal, call into question the professionalism of the journal's authors, and thereby discredit scientific activity as a whole.
Maintaining the high reputation of scientific research and its description can be achieved by adhering to the rules of good scientific practice, which include:
(a) the manuscript must not be submitted for consideration to more than one journal;
(b) the manuscript must not have been published previously (in whole or in part), unless the new work expands upon the content of the previous work. In such cases, please clearly indicate which materials are being reused by you to avoid it appearing as self-plagiarism (text recycling);
(c) a single study should not be split into parts to artificially increase the number of manuscripts submitted for publication in one or different journals (salami publishing);
(d) no data (including images) should be fabricated or intentionally distorted to justify the conclusions drawn by the authors;
(e) data obtained by other authors should not be presented in the manuscript as if they were the submitting authors' own data, text, or theories ("plagiarism"). Appropriate references to other works must be given, including material that is copied (almost verbatim), summarized, and/or paraphrased. Quotation marks are used for verbatim copied text;
(f) for copyrighted materials, permission for their reproduction must be obtained.
Our journal uses modern plagiarism detection software. This is a necessary measure to maintain high standards of publication ethics and protect intellectual property.
Each submitted manuscript undergoes automated originality verification as a mandatory step, allowing us to guarantee readers the originality and scientific novelty of the published materials.
We believe that integrity in science is the foundation of trust between the author, the editorial office, and the audience.
Prior to submission, explicit consent to submit the manuscript is required from all co-authors, as well as permission from the authorized responsible authorities at the organization where the work was carried out.
Researchers whose names appear as authors of the manuscript must have made a sufficient contribution to the scientific work and share collective responsibility for its results.
Authors are strongly advised to ensure the correct list of author names and their order before submitting the manuscript to the editorial office. Changes to the composition and/or order of authors' names are completely prohibited after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
The addition and/or removal of authors' names and/or changes to the order in the author list are permissible during the manuscript revision stage, but must be justified. In the cover letter accompanying the revised manuscript, it is necessary to explain the reason for the changes and the role of the added and/or removed authors' names in carrying out the work. Additional documents may be required to confirm the explanations provided. Requests for the addition or removal of authors' names resulting from authorship disputes after acceptance of the manuscript will be considered upon official confirmation from the institution or an independent body, and/or upon agreement among all authors.
Authors should be prepared to provide, upon request, relevant materials or data to confirm the validity of the results. These may include raw data, samples, records, etc.
Confidential or proprietary information must be excluded. If a breach of ethical standards is suspected, the journal conducts an investigation in accordance with COPE recommendations. If, after the investigation, the allegations are found to be justified, the accused author is given an opportunity to justify themselves.
If misconduct is unequivocally established, the Editor-in-Chief may, among other actions, take the following measures:
(a) if the article is still under consideration, it may be rejected and returned to the author;
(b) if the article has already been published online, depending on the nature and severity of the violation, either an erratum to the article will be published, or, in cases of serious violations, the article will be retracted.
The reason will be stated in the erratum or in the retraction note. Please note that retracting an article means that the version of the article will remain on the journal's distribution platform with a watermarked "RETRACTED" notice, and an explanation of the reasons for the retraction will be provided in a note accompanying the article thus marked. The organization employing the author will be informed of the violation.
COMPLIANCE WITH ETHICAL STANDARDS
To ensure the objectivity and transparency of research and to uphold accepted ethical principles and principles of professional conduct, authors must include in the article information about funding sources, potential conflicts of interest (financial or non-financial), informed consent if humans participated as research subjects, and a statement on the humane treatment of animals if animals were research subjects.
Authors must include the following statements in the article (if applicable) in a separate section of the manuscript entitled "Compliance with Ethical Standards" prior to its submission:

Before submitting an article, carefully review the instructions provided on this page. The corresponding author should be prepared to collect documentation on compliance with ethical standards and submit it upon request, which may be made during the peer review process or after publication.
The editors reserve the right to reject a manuscript if it does not comply with the aforementioned guidelines.
The author will be held responsible for false statements or failure to follow the aforementioned guidelines.
Authors must disclose in the manuscript all relationships or interests that could have a direct or potential influence on the presentation of the work or could be a source of bias regarding the results obtained in the work.
Although an author may not feel that any conflict exists, disclosing relationships and interests provides a more complete and transparent process, leading to an accurate and objective assessment of the work. Readers have every right to know and understand any real or potential conflict of interest. This does not necessarily imply inappropriate financial relationships with an organization that sponsored the research or paid a consulting fee. Examples of potential conflicts of interest that are directly or indirectly related to the research may include, but are not limited to, the following:
(a) research grants from funding organizations (please provide the name of the organization sponsoring the research and the grant number in the manuscript);
(b) honoraria for speaking at symposia;
(c) financial support for attending symposia;
(d) financial support for educational programs;
(e) employment earnings or consulting fees;
(f) sponsorship;
(g) a position on an advisory board or board of directors, or other management relationships;
(h) affiliation with multiple organizations;
(i) financial relationships, such as equity interests or investment income;
(j) intellectual property rights (e.g., patents, copyrights, and royalties from such rights);
(k) ownership interests of a spouse and/or children that could have a financial interest in the work.
Furthermore, interests beyond financial ones (non-financial interests) that may be important to readers should also be disclosed. These may include, but are not limited to, personal relationships or competing interests directly or indirectly related to the research, professional interests, or personal beliefs that could influence your research.
The corresponding author is responsible for collecting conflict of interest disclosure forms from all authors. In collaborations where formal representation agreements are permitted, it is sufficient for only the corresponding author to sign the conflict of interest disclosure form on behalf of all authors. Examples of such forms can be found below.
Example: This research was supported by Foundation X (grant X). Conflict of Interest: Author A has received a research grant from Company A. Author B has received a lecture honorarium from Company X and owns shares in Company Y. Author C serves on committee Z.
If there is no conflict of interest, the author should state: "The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest."

Statements on Human Rights
When describing research involving human participants, authors must include a statement in the manuscript confirming that the research was approved by the appropriate institutional and/or national research ethics committee and was performed in accordance with the ethical standards laid down in the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki and its later amendments, or comparable ethical standards.
If there is doubt as to whether the research was conducted in accordance with the 1964 Helsinki Declaration or comparable standards, authors must explain their rationale and confirm that an independent ethics committee or an appropriate institutional committee explicitly approved the doubtful aspects of the study.
The following statements should be included in the text before the reference list:

INFORMED CONSENT
All individuals have personal rights that must not be violated. When a person becomes a research subject, they have the right to decide what should or should not happen to the collected personal data, to what they said during the research or interview, and to any identifying photographs taken during such research.
Therefore, it is essential that all participants provide their written informed consent prior to inclusion in the study. Personal data (names, dates of birth, identification document numbers, and other information) of participants who were research subjects should not be published in written descriptions, photographs, or genetic profiles unless the information is essential for scientific purposes, and the participant (or their parent or guardian) has given written informed consent for publication. Complete anonymity is sometimes difficult to achieve, and when in doubt, informed consent must be obtained.
For example, merely obscuring the eye area in photographs of research participants is not sufficient to ensure anonymity. If identifying characteristics have been altered to protect anonymity, for instance in genetic profiles, authors must ensure that no distortion of the scientific content occurs.
